Cancer recurrence

Cancer recurrence

Cancer recurrence is a term that means that the cancer has returned after treatment, either in the same part of the body or somewhere else, after it had been gone for a significant amount of time. It is extremely difficult to predict when this might be. In this video, Karen Kinahan talks about cancer recurrence. For more information about recurrence, you can take a look at I am afraid my cancer will come back, Surviving recurrence, and How to cope when cancer comes back.

Karen Kinahan is a clinical nurse specialist in the STAR Program at the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, Chicago, IL, USA.
